Multitudes Cohort is here for all you artists, makers, farmers, feeders, mutual aid organizers, interdisciplinary pattern connectors, water shed tenders, land listeners and creators dedicated to sharing life on earth.

Something of a different scope wants to come to life, and Multitudes Cohort is a sanctuary for it to find its way into these wild realms.

How you and your project will benefit

Multitudes offers numerous approaches to improvisational call and response with the soul of your work & your vision. Consistently centering your core dedication and values in everything from process, to collaborations, to contracts, to the agreement fields you invite your audiences or participants into, you seed a microculture that supports everything you do and amplifies your integrous generativity and beneficial impact.

Seed Relational Microculture

Champion your Process

Using playful, practical approaches, you will create and/or hone a customized Process Guide and Project Plan. These adaptive maps include tools to:
-Create congruence between process & project goals
-Arrive in presence with your currents of purpose
-Deflate overwhelm & identify micro-tasks
-Build rhythm & continuity as you optimize your time
-Dissolve defeating patterns & nourish flourishing habits
-Consistently move inspiration into action
-Take sustainable risks to create greater work

Monthly programming immerses you in shared language, practice, tools and systems for broad aspects of project development and implementation.

Weekly work sessions make space for you to devote purposeful time to your project every week and to do break-out room check-in’s with a dedicated small group of 3-4 people.

During weekly sessions facilitator will open with brief practices and be available throughout for Q&A or direct workshopping.

You can choose to stay focused in your independent work,
request workshopping, or tune in to witness cohort members who are workshopping their process/projects.

Cohort & Accountability

Get to know your multitudes with specificity and delight. What aspects of your creative nature are longing to be seen, felt, and heard? How might they enrich your process and what you offer? You contain multitudes and have a network of beyond human collaborators who want to come to the party. Our core practices help you send the invitations.

Your inspirations are animate. So are your blocks. Talk to them and they reveal wisdom you might otherwise miss.

The illusion of a singular fixed identity keeps people alone inside themselves while reinforcing individualistic narratives that trap people in capitalistic imperatives. When you attune to signals from your inner worlds with all the care of a devoted partner, you rehydrate and restore a wealth of creative vitality.

Meet Your Facilitator

Heather BeGaetz is a large scale sculptor and installation artist whose work is shaped by theatrical practice and animist devotion.

She is project leader and organizer of 25+ years in numerous fields and a seasoned facilitator of groups both large and small. Multitudes is deeply rooted in practices that transformed her once disorganized dread-filled creative process that led to chronic over-extension, into a mutualistic inner ecosystem grounded in deep attunement.

She’s found that these tools are affective through the worst of times and the best. They don’t cast out any part of our process, but acknowledge the possibility of wisdom in every contraction or stagnancy. Engage each moment in creation as a player in a grand story, and so they are allowed to be. Heather applies her vision, values and ethics to creative process as well as product, and she’s dedicated to help others do the same.

Many people with great ideas, talent, and even well established leadership skills, need hard-to-find support in order to bring sparkling dream projects from the persistent realms of imagination into form. Something of a different scope wants to come to life, and and we'll hold a unique sanctuary for it to find its way into these wild realms. In a time when we need our thinkers, feelers, makers and creators to be able to fully gestate and deliver what they have to offer, Heather’s genuinely thrilled to initiate the first ever Multitudes cohort.

FAQ

  • Multitudes will support diverse projects in many fields. Creativity is not exclusive to the arts, and any project type is welcome.

The cohort will also support projects at various stages of conception.

Whether your project is currently a flicker of an idea, or a fully formed concept well under way, the processes and tools will adapt to your phase of creation.

A range of project scopes & timelines, creates contrast and freshness in cohort.

  • Some projects may only require 6 months or less of timeline, while others will stretch far beyond the duration of the course. While all cohort members are encouraged to commit to the full 12 months to experience the full program and access all the tools and practices, for shorter term project creators, some may be complete after first cycle.

This is also an acknowledgement and accomodatioin of the great unpredictability of our current times.

  • Multitudes is a space that is shaped for experienced creatives who are trying new things. Cohort Members may be venturing into projects that involve new creative edges , inquiries, or branches. Or they may be confident in their practical skillsets but newer to project leadership of this scope.

The value orientation here is that the cohort will be comprised of people who have a broad enough understanding of their practice and/or the relevant communities involved to create responsibly.
